Kelly and Jake met at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. They had both attempted the climb two previous times. But after Jake's entire hiking party mysteriously disappeared while he managed to gain 15 pounds, Kelly was suspicious.

On one dangerous climb, Jake was halfway done sawing through Kelly's belay rope, when Kelly did the unexpected: she made Jake laugh. It was then that Jake decided to stop sawing.

Two weeks later, they moved in together, and began attending the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law. They pretended they did not know each other for one year, but reunited in their second year. And the rest is history.
